October is National Principals Month, a great time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our principals. They play a crucial role in shaping school culture, supporting teachers, and ensuring that students thrive.
Let’s take a moment to thank them for their commitment and celebrate the difference they make every day! Beginning with Mrs. Bava!
What a blast this weekend at the Granby Town Trunk or Treat! There was a lot of candy and some creative costumes. It’s always great to see the community come together for some spooky (but family-friendly) fun.
Kindergarten and first grade students love learning through math games!
In OT we love to use squigz. Students can work on increasing hand strength by pulling the squigz off of the table. To promote crossing the body’s midline, students can reach across their body and pull the squigz off of the table with their opposite hand. We love getting creative with squigz too!
Preschoolers are working on their speech sounds in words. The past couple of weeks, some students have been practicing the F sound (which is also called the "funny bunny sound.") We have been reading "Ten Red Apples" by Pat Hutchins which has many F sound words in the story and making a fun apple pie craft during the month of October!
PTO Meeting Tonight
A BIG thank you to our maintenance staff for lowering the “umbrella” on our playground! Kindergarteners are able play on it independently and it’s a hit!
REMINDER: Picture Day Tomorrow
The Bear Learning Center has started the year off great! We are working hard in our classroom and participating in the general education classrooms with peers. They really enjoy playing on the equipment outside at recess.
Mrs. Peterson’s afternoon preschoolers are loving their new library books. After a song and story, the students choose a book to bring home to share with their families. What a happy bunch of kids!
Mrs. Budlong's 2nd grade class celebrated "Dot Day" by "making their marks" and framing them in swirly gold.
Students in Ms. Brown's first grade class are working on their handwriting! They are using dry erase boards and markers. Students love looking at their letters and circling their favorite one!
Don't forget, tomorrow is DOT Day!! Wear your dots!
Students in Mrs. Bisaillon’s kindergarten class are enjoying exploring their new math tools! Today they used geoblocks. It’s so fun to use your imagination to build things like volcanos, rocket ships, super duper slides, cities, and castles!
The beginning of the year in Mrs. Farnsworth's preschool class is off to a great start! We have been enjoying a variety of center time activities, singing and dancing, and making new friends. We especially love exploring with sensory activities and playing on the playground.
Thank you for your support Granby PD.
What an amazing morning! Happy First Day of School Granby!
We had a fabulous opening day with all Granby Public School staff on Thursday, August 22, 2024. We kicked off our theme for the year Connect. Believe. Achieve. and honored both our Teacher of the Year and Staff Person of the Year.
What do our principals do in the summer? Mrs. Bava celebrates her student's summer birthday!
